1992 saw the senior team crowned County League Division 4 champions. That same year the junior team won the North Kerry Championship by beating old rivals Knockanure in Ballybunion. This victory (1-6 to 1-3) was achieved after a replay. The replay tookplace on January 3rd, 1993, in Ballybunion. It was the clubs first trophy in this competition. In 1994, the senior team contested the County Junior Championship final. Their opponents were St. Pat's of Blennerville. After a ding-dong affair at Austin Stack's Park, the teams finished all square (0-8 each). The replay took place at the same venue and after some excellent play the team finally succumbed to St. Pat's, who were winning their first Junior Championship. The final score was St. Pat's 2-10, St.Senan's 3-5. The team that represented the club that day was as follows;

Their opponents in the final were former North Kerry football kingpins Clounmacon. However, St. Senan's ran out easy winners on the scoreline 2-9 to 1 -3. During 1996, the senior team won promotion to division 3 of the County League by virtue of a resounding victory over Templenoe to amass the highest points of any division, that year, in the County League (22 pts from 12 games). St.Senan's and Rathmore were to cross paths when they both won through to the final of the County Junior Championship. The game was played as a curtain raiser to the 1996 Senior Championship final between Laune Rangers and West Kerry.
The experts gave the division 3 minnows no chance against their more illustrious opponents. What a shock awaited them! The boys in blue and gold defeated Rathmore by 1-13 to 0-15 amid great scenes of jubilation. There ends the brief history of football and hurling in the area, and specifically as it relates to the St.Senan's football club. It is hoped that the previous pages give a flavour of where the club has come from and what it is all about. It is a small rural club that has a huge influence on the social fabric of the area. The St.Senan's football club has contributed enormously to North Kerry and County football. The player's from the club have always worn the blue and gold colours with pride and distinction. This can be seen form the impressive array of competitions that it has participated in and frequently won down through the years. The club has seen lean times as well as history making occasions. It's players have represented the club with teams that include: Dromclough N.S., St. Michael's College, Listowel, The Community College, Listowel,Causeway Comprehensive School, St. Brendan's College, Killamey, the Green C.B.S., Tralee, Kerry Vocational Schools, North Kerry U-14, U-16 and U-17 teams, Feale Rangers, UCC, UCG, Maynooth College, Pallaskenry SEcondary and Agricultural College, Clonakilty Agricultural College, Kerry Minors, U-21's, juniors and seniors. The club has a fantastic under age record, which can only bode well for the future. The club mentors, the men and women behind the scenes, give of their time and energy on a voluntary basis, for the betterment of the club. All the hard work and effort is worth it for them on occasions such as today. As we approach a new millennium, there is one wish that present and past players, mentors and supporters alike would like to see come true. That wish is very simply, that the club will win a North Kerry Senior football Championship before long more. The structures are there, the players are there, the backroom team are in place and the club boasts one of the finest facilities in the land. All we need right now is a bit of luck and a dry ball. C'montheSenan's. Dedicated to all those who helped in the compilation of this brief history and to all the men and women who have worked so selflessly behind the scenes for St.Senan's football club down through the years.
