The Behins team reached the 1948 and 1949 North Kerry Intermediate finals only to be beaten by Finuge on both occasions at Quinlan's field in Coolnaleen. Not to be bested, they got to the final again in 1950. Their opponents in the final were Listowel. The game ended in a draw.

The replay was called off as it got too dark in Listowel. Finally, at Carroll's fieldat the Six Crosses, Behins won the title.
