Under 12 Div 1 NKC 2010 Final V Ballydonoghue

This game was played in Moyvane on a beautiful winter’s day.

St Senans opened with a point from Cathal Kennelly. Senans took an early lead, 4-3 to 1-3 towards the end of the first half.Ballydonoghue had a strong period in which they scored a goal but hard work from the Senans forwards gave Senans a 5-4 to 1-3 lead at half time.

In the second half St Senans started where they left off and scored a further 5 goals and 3 point. The team was lead by Darragh Kennelly at full back with solid performances by Darragh Behan and Padraig Logue. The last line of defence Danny Quilter had a solid display. The half back line of Kevin Dillon, Jack Mc Kenna and a man of the match performance by Barry Mahony stopped the Ballydonoghue attacks time after time.

Cathal Kennelly and Seán Galvin were solid at midfield.

It was the St Senans forwards of Paudie Dillon, Brendan Conway, Colin Browne, Donal Hunt, Jacqueline Horgan and Conor Kennelly who punished Ballydonoghue with their accurate scoring and quick thinking.

The subs that came on showed the depth and quality of the whole panel.

It was the end of a long year with huge commitment from the management of U/12 panel, Aiden Behan, Robbie Larkin, Bertie Dillon, Mike Kelliher and John Joe Dillon, Players and parents.
